You must execute skills with proper technique and consistency. You should be able to perform these skills on a cheer mat, track, and grass.

Must execute each with proper technique and consistency
-Extension -Liberty -360 (full) to retake -Clean cradle dismount
You will be trying out for a stunt position, Main, Side, Back or Flyer
You should be flexible. You may be asked to tryout out for a different position than you are accustomed to doing.

Stunts
Must execute each with proper technique and consistency
-Stretch -Arabesque -Full down from one leg stunts -360(full) to prep
You will be trying out for a stunt position, Main, Side, Back or Flyer
You should be flexible. You may be asked to tryout out for a different position than you are accustomed to doing.

Being a varsity athlete means that you are the best of the best in a program. Achieving a position on the WHS varsity cheerleading team will be a challenge and an honor.
Varsity Squad Expectations
Motions and Game Presence
Natural confidence, collegiate presence, and high energy
Knowledge and interest in games/events
Clean, sharp motions with proper placement
Proper voice inflection when yelling
Engages crowd with skills
Jumps
Proper approach- sharp with proper placement
Height- Level/hyperextended
Correct body position in the air ( legs, arms, pointed toes)
Landing- feet together
Tumbling

Standing back (You should be working towards this skill)
Stunts
Must execute each with proper technique and consistency
-Stretch -Scale -Full down from all stunts -Switch up to lib -Full up to an extension
You will be trying out for a stunt position, Main, Side, Back or Flyer
You should be flexible. You may be asked to tryout out for a different position than you are accustomed to doing.
